A little transparency
Privacy should feel straightforward.
We want to know whether our articles are useful, whether people find their way into Calphii, and whether the experience helps them stay. We don't need to read their private work to find out.
What optional analytics tells us
With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure page views, general traffic sources, engagement, clicks from Calphii articles to the app, whether you use a small article tool, and aggregate events such as starting a focus session or completing an account registration.
We use the same measurement property for calphii.com and focus.calphii.com so we can understand the route from an article to the focus app when your browser and consent allow it. Our reporting may include general location, browser and device information supplied by Google Analytics.
We don't intentionally send your email, name, Firebase account ID, note text, board cards, uploaded files, or anything you type into the interactive guides to Google Analytics. Page URLs are stripped of sensitive query parameters, including email sign-in verification codes; only short, non-identifying UTM campaign tags may be retained to understand where visitors came from.
Advertising measurement is a separate choice
If you separately allow advertising measurement, we enable Google Ads tagging. This can help us understand website visits from adverts. It is not permission for Calphii to sell personal information, and we do not enable Google Analytics advertising-personalisation signals through our tag.
The existing Google Ads website-visit conversion, when enabled, means a website visit, not a completed signup. Successful Calphii account creations are measured separately with the Google Analytics sign_up event.
Your choices
Our consent panel offers analytics only, analytics plus advertising measurement, or neither. The first time you arrive, no optional Google tracking loads until you make a choice.
Your choice is stored in a small first-party cookie called calphii_measurement_v1, shared by calphii.com and focus.calphii.com for up to 180 days. That preference cookie is used only to remember your decision. If you turn off measurement later, Calphii stops loading those tags on the next page and attempts to clear their first-party measurement cookies.
You can change your mind whenever you like using the small Privacy choices control on either website. This choice won't affect your account, notes, sound or workspace.
